Project & Infrastructure Context
Power Transmission & Distribution — Overhead Lines (OHL) Scotland — Take full ownership of complex high-voltage transmission procurement activities, ensuring robust commercial terms, supplier performance, and risk management across Scotland.
Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities
- Lead high-value procurement tenders for electrical plant, tower steelwork, conductors, and civil subcontracts
- Mentor and develop junior buyers within the Scottish Power T&D procurement function
- Negotiate favourable commercial terms and NEC subcontract agreements
- Drive sustainable procurement and carbon reduction across the supply chain
Required Qualifications & Experience
- CIPS Level 4+ qualification or equivalent. 3+ years experience in procurement and supply chain management within construction, utilities, or heavy engineering.
