Project & Infrastructure Context
Lower Thames Crossing (LTC) — UK’s Greenest Road Infrastructure Project — Manage the ecological deliverables for one major section of the landmark £1.2bn Lower Thames Crossing scheme to programme, budget and environmental quality standards, including protected species mitigation and habitat creation.
Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities
- Lead delivery of project ecological requirements and protected species licensing in assigned work area
- Oversee site clearance and habitat management in line with Wildlife and Countryside Act standards
- Manage ecological clerk of works (ECoW) teams and specialist environmental sub-contractors
- Collaborate with Natural England, Environment Agency, and local wildlife trusts
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Degree in Ecology, Environmental Science or related discipline. Full CIEEM membership and demonstrable experience managing ecological mitigation on major infrastructure.
