Lead Graphic Designer – Consumer Goods Brand at SnappyCX

Employment Type: Full-Time
Work Arrangement: Fully Remote | Independent Contractor
Schedule: U.S. Eastern Business Hours
About the Role
We’re looking for a highly skilled Lead Graphic Designer to join our client, a growing natural hair care consumer goods brand.
This is a hands-on design role where you’ll personally create and deliver the majority of the brand’s visual work each week while also providing creative direction and coordinating freelancers and vendors when needed.
You’ll work directly with the company owner and collaborate closely with the website developer, printers, freelancers, and other external partners to ensure high-quality, brand-consistent creative is delivered on time.
This is not a delegation-only leadership role. We’re looking for a designer who leads through strong creative execution and can confidently balance production with creative direction.
What You’ll Do
- Design and deliver production-ready creative across:
- Email campaigns
- Landing pages and website graphics
- Digital and social media ads
- Product packaging
- Trade show materials, including banners, flyers, brochures, booth graphics, and signage
- Collaborate directly with the website developer and provide complete design specifications, assets, fonts, dimensions, and other required details.
- Review implemented web and landing page designs against the original designs before launch.
- Develop fresh creative concepts and proactively recommend new visual directions for the brand.
- Create both clean, polished corporate designs for retail/B2B audiences and bold, unconventional creative for consumer campaigns, social media, and events.
- Maintain strong brand consistency across all creative materials.
- Prepare print-ready artwork according to vendor specifications, including bleed, resolution, and color profiles.
- Coordinate and review overflow work from freelancers and vendors when required.
- Manage multiple projects and deadlines, proactively communicating any potential delays.
- Maintain an organized library of working files, final artwork, and brand assets.
Requirements
Expert-level proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.
- Extensive, hands-on experience with Adobe Creative Suite.
- Working knowledge of InDesign and Acrobat.
- Proven experience designing for a consumer goods company, including packaging, retail materials, and consumer-facing campaigns.
- Ability to provide examples of brands you have designed for and demonstrate the work in your portfolio.
- Experience designing complete email campaigns for both desktop and mobile.
- Experience designing landing pages and websites and successfully handing designs off to developers.
- Previous experience leading design projects while remaining personally responsible for producing the work.
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
- Reliable computer capable of running Adobe Creative Suite.
- Stable, high-speed internet connection.
- Availability to work during U.S. Eastern business hours.
Portfolio Requirement
A portfolio is required to be considered for this position.
Your portfolio should demonstrate a range of design styles and include:
Portfolios showing only one design style may not advance in the hiring process.
- At least one clean/corporate design
- At least one bold or unconventional design
- At least one email campaign/design
- At least one landing page or website design
- Consumer goods/packaging work
Nice to Have
- Experience with beauty, hair care, or personal care brands
- Trade show or live event design experience
- Familiarity with Shopify, Klaviyo, Figma, or Canva
- Experience with After Effects or Premiere Pro
We’re looking for a designer who is
- Highly creative and visually strategic
- Detail-oriented and committed to brand consistency
- Comfortable working independently in a remote environment
- Able to manage multiple priorities and tight deadlines
- Confident communicating with developers, printers, freelancers, and vendors
- Comfortable giving and receiving direct creative feedback
- Proactive about bringing new ideas and design trends to the brand
