Key Responsibilities & Scope
The role As the Marketing Automation Specialist, you will join Xero's Customer Engagement team to design, build, test, schedule, deploy, and report on global and regional communications using a modern marketing tech stack. You will be hands-on in Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC), ensuring campaigns reliably reach small business users worldwide to help make running their businesses seamless.A key part of this position involves driving operational efficiency across the team. You will play a vital role in lifting delivery maturity by refining reusable email templates, documenting clear processes, sharing technical insights, and partnering with regional marketers on their quarterly communication plans. The team & how they connectYou will join a high-performing Global Customer Engagement team that works in close partnership with Regional Marketing, Product Marketing, and Data & Insights specialists. The team operates with a focus on peer collaboration, shared learning, and thorough QA to streamline workflows across all regions. Together, they combine technical execution with commercial insights to build meaningful, tailored experiences for our audience. Initially, you will focus onHands-on campaign creation and deployment using Salesforce Marketing Cloud and in-product messaging tools.Building dynamic, personalized content using HTML, AMPscript, and SQL.Managing end-to-end campaign QA, audience segmentation logic, and data troubleshooting.Standardizing build patterns, upd

- Proven experience operating within high-impact industry or enterprise environments.
- Relevant degree or recognized professional accreditation in Cloud Accounting & SaaS.
- Strong collaborative problem-solving skills and dedication to technical or operational excellence.
Compensation Guidance (AUD)
Salary Range: AUD $1,05,000 - $1,41,750 / year (commensurate with skills & experience).
- Includes standard Australian statutory superannuation (11.5%+), health & wellness allowances, and professional progression pathways.
