Project & Operational Scope
We're looking for a Principal Electrical Design Engineer to join our Building Services team based in Liverpool or London.
Kier Design are a highly regarded Tier 1 Contractor, with a 750 plus strong design consultancy team, recognised as a Top 30 employer on Glassdoor.
A Chartered Engineer and member of CIBSE or IET, with a Degree in Electrical Building Services or Electrical Engineering.
Core Responsibilities & Impact
- Deliver high-standard engineering, technical, and operational execution in line with Kier safety, sustainability, and quality benchmarks.
- Collaborate with cross-functional project teams, client stakeholders, design partners, and supply chain specialists to ensure milestone adherence.
- Ensure compliance with statutory regulations, CDM guidelines, industry technical standards, and environmental requirements.
- Champion continuous improvement, value engineering, digital delivery, and best practice across the scheme lifecycle.
Professional Experience & Qualifications
- Relevant qualifications in Engineering (Civil, Structural, Mechanical, Electrical, or related discipline).
- Demonstrated background within UK infrastructure, construction, civil engineering, water frameworks, or transportation projects.
- Strong communication, team collaboration, problem-solving, and technical project delivery capabilities.
- Commitment to safety leadership, collaborative working, and high-performance delivery.
Compensation & Employee Benefits Guidance
Estimated Remuneration: GBP £60,000 - £75,000 per annum (commensurate with skills and experience)
