Project & Infrastructure Context
Power Transmission & Distribution — High Voltage (HV) Substation Infrastructure — Lead pricing strategies and cost modeling for major high-voltage substation tenders across the UK for National Grid and SSE, supporting the expansion of the renewable grid.
Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities
- Develop comprehensive first-principles estimates for HV substation civil and electrical works
- Lead bid strategy sessions, risk workshops, and supplier tender reviews
- Analyze technical drawings, bills of quantities (BOQs), and contract schedules
- Stay informed on market pricing, supply chain capacity, and emerging green technologies
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Substantial estimating experience on major power, substation, or infrastructure schemes. Familiarity with National Grid/SSE technical standards and Candy estimating software.
