Project & Infrastructure Context
Power Transmission & Distribution — Substation Build (up to 400kV) — Take the lead on ensuring site teams are trained, competent, and equipped to deliver high-voltage substation works safely and efficiently in scenic Argyll & Bute.
Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities
- Agree and implement safe systems of work (SSOW) with Project Engineers and client representatives
- Requisition required plant, tooling, and materials in advance of operational activities
- Conduct daily site inductions, toolbox talks, and Management Safety Representative (MSR) checks
- Ensure all operatives hold correct electrical safety authorizations and permits to work
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Experience in delivery of overhead line, cabling, or substation schemes up to 400kV. SSSTS certification and valid CSCS/ECS card. Commercial and safety awareness.
