<p>The Mobile Platform Squad is the backbone of SumUp&#39;s iOS engineering — we build and maintain the foundation that every iOS feature team relies on to ship fast, confidently, and at scale.</p>

<p>We&#39;re a small, high-impact team that sits at the intersection of infrastructure, developer experience, and engineering excellence. Our work isn&#39;t visible to merchants directly, but it&#39;s felt by every iOS engineer at SumUp every single day — through faster build times, smoother CI/CD pipelines, healthier codebases, and better tooling.</p>

<h3><strong>What you&#39;ll do:</strong></h3>

<ul>

<li>Develop and maintain internal tools, frameworks, and infrastructure that support the consistency, scalability, and long-term health of SumUp&#39;s iOS app</li>

<li>Contribute to CI/CD systems and developer tooling initiatives that help feature teams ship with speed and confidence</li>

<li>Tackle technical debt and codebase health improvements in a complex, mature codebase — with a focus on simplicity and maintainability</li>

<li>Collaborate closely with mobile engineers across squads, acting as a go-to partner for platform questions, reviews, and best practices</li>

<li>Take end-to-end ownership of well-scoped platform initiatives — from design and implementation through to delivery and documentation</li>

<li>Bring 3+ years of professional iOS development experience, with solid hands-on knowledge of Swift and modern iOS frameworks</li>

<li>Have a solid understanding of testing methodologies, architecture patterns, and design principles, and apply them with pragmatism</li>

<li>Are comfortable working outside the boundaries of a typical feature team — you&#39;re adaptable, self-directed, and thrive with a mix of structured and ambiguous work</li>

<li>Can navigate and improve complex, mature codebases with patience, curiosity, and a long-term mindset</li>

<li>Communicate and collaborate clearly across teams — you&#39;re comfortable with frequent context switching and know how to bring clarity to technical discussions</li>
